    Someone Please Create This

It’s Prad Pravithi’s totally awesome Second Life keyboard. Look at the big version, then read all the notes. Laugh, plotz, snort the beverage of your choice out your nose. My top choice: “Mute Talking Unborn Babies.” Second choice: “Purge/Lose/Sort Inventory.” And in fact, I would totally buy this keyboard if only it were available, because a one-button “rebake” or “log in as Alt 1/Alt 2” or “Random Outfit” action would be awesome. Finally Getting Things Done

… just uploaded a virtual wall fountain to XStreetSL, it’s about time I made something, rather than just sorting inventory and textures! Soothing water sounds, nice textures. And now, back to the Big Sort! @LC@ Rainbow Stained Glass Wall Fountain by Lelani Carver – Second Life XStreet SL Marketplace Rainbow Stained Glass Wall Fountain with scripted sounds on/off and also volume controls. You can reduce the sounds to 1/4, 1/2, and 3/4 volume as well as mute by touching the fountain. Make a copy, take it apart, and learn how it works! Edit selected textures to make all full bright,…

    Scripty Stuff

Needed to figure out how to fix the hover or floating text that I use for some of my storage objects (specifically, something I call my “tansu” organizer. However, this didn’t really seem to solve my problem; the hover text is stubbornly too high above my prim. Ah well. LSL Wiki : llSetText The text will always be positioned to float straight up (parallel to the world’s Z-axis) from the prim’s center at a distance of half the prim’s Z scale plus some fixed offset. The float text uses the prims Z axis regardless of it?s rotation. This means that…

    Sorting Out A Virtual Spy

@kqthomson, AKA KeithThomson SecretSpy, is all set for his upcoming Second Life appearance on Monday, 22nd of March at Lacamas Reading Hall (6pm SLT/PDT). Through the miracle of multiple streaming conversations via a variety of aetheric tele-communication devices, KT was able to call me. Right, so that’s sorted. It’s a rugged Steampunk spy look, and the author approved his avatar’s appearance when I spoke with him last night in a dry-run appearance at Lacamas Reading Room with BookemJackson Streeter and Dano Bookmite. Thank GOD we got Skype running, I had to install it on the fly and figure out how…

My House Is Missing, Got Milk Carton?

Second Life Blogs: My House Is Missing – Got Milk Carton? I was in the process of moving things around and backing up my house yesterday (heard about asset server issues) and as I was taking the main building into inventory, it disappeared. It’s completely invisible, does not show up when I toggle Highlight Transparent , yet is not clickable or editable, and the walls and interior partitions are solid. The doors and windows were created by others and so they’re all still there and functional – which is good as I can’t walk through my invizibl wallz. The parcel…

    Paradise Escaped

Lelani who? Yes, yes, I’m back. Finally returned from my island home, with armfuls of flowers for lei-making and home decor,  and some pictures of wildlife,  and rather a lot of delicious smelling hair and skin products which unfortunately don’t translate well to the virtual world that is Second Life (although I may try to create a store for them here). Oh, and I got some fun hair ornaments, which I believe will translate very nicely, and have lots of ideas for jewelry, island-style. I wasn’t able to work much while in the islands, owing to a poor Internet connection…
