    Visit Beautiful Northfarthing in #SecondLife

Northfarthing is a pleasant fantasy-medieval sim, and recently it’s gotten a mountain-sized makeover. A lot of the old Abbey remains, but it’s been completely rebuild on one side and has lots of balconies with nice views of the new mountains, an intriguing ruin, and a beautiful rocky stone-henge. The old Green Dragon inn is gone, and some of the other places I remember; but the remaining homes, cottages and castles are really pretty. Also, there’s stuff to buy. But the mountains were the big surprise, as there was nothing but empty sea surrounding Northfarthing before. Now it’s enclosed by a…

    Walk In The Maine Woods

Here’s a nice walk in the Maine woods the typist took a few years back. I like the curved rails and may work them into a build one day. I’ve been working inworld, at last, trying not to get bogged down or immobilized by the fear of failure. Made more headway on the shell of the Steelhead St Helens dry goods store. Almost ready… have a lot of ideas, don’t want to psych myself out after being stumped. Speaking of which, I made a fair approximation of a stump after getting an example of one from a Steelhead neighbor to…

Resist Our Robot Overlords! Price Reduced On Virtual Land #SL

I’d just like to say that some robots are very nice people and quite funny. But the landbot ones that scoop up your land when you set the price to some crazy low price by mistake are a bit of  a nuisance. Heh, yes, I have a horror of landbots. I used to live next to a 16m parcel that had a daily visit from a mysterious Puppet person. I realize they perform a useful function, but they’re creepy. I’ve just reduced the price on the 512 lot to $L2250, and the 1024 lot to $L4500. Reasonably entertaining offers will…

    Otterly Fun

see more Lolcats and funny pictures Dhughan here; just dipping a paw to test the waters and update a little. Shall be building and repairing items for Miss Lelani’s new digs in Steelhead Shanghai, and fortunately it’s near water. Whether in human form or not, it shall be otterly fun.

Another Parcel For Sale, More Coming

I hope some more of my Tintafel neighbors might like some primlots; I’ve sold one to the photographer across the way already. The next one is priced to prevent botting, but anybody interested should contact me inworld to talk a little virtual turkey. I’m posting via aetheric iMarconi at the moment, but the slurl is: http://slurl.com/secondlife/Tintafel/215/210/100/?title=Tintafel%20Grassland%201%20%24L3000&msg=You%20can%20never%20have%20enough%20prims At least one other neighbor is actively creating; it’s a shame I’m moving on just as someone interesting is working on a fun project involving SHARKS ZOMG etc. etc. She had them swimming around her house yesterday. I’m probably going to keep a smaller…

    Housekeeping

It’s been a good few months since I did anything productive around my mainland holdings. I finally did some tidying up, and spent some time thinking about what I’d like to do next, and what my goals might be for accomplishing that. I will probably be selling off some of my mainland holdings and throw in my lot with the excellent folks in Steelhead; they are a terribly creative bunch when it comes to home and store builds, air armadas, naval junks, and what-not. My plans are up in the air, though; I will have to give matters serious thought.…

Needed my awesome amplified, Torley comes through again

This is so helpful to me in my current “blocked” condition. Most of these entities are in my head, or I fear that I could turn into one of them. an artist’s job is to make art So keep creating. Can you relate? “There will always be trolls, haters, critics, copiers, feedback both good and bad, and the artist must always express themselves in spite of this, to take in what is useful to them, let the rest go, and not get caught up in their own negativity.” via Torley amplifies your awesome. • So keep creating..

    Brushes with Greatness

I’ll be downloading some brushes from Obsidian Dawn shortly – it appears that they can be used with GIMP and she’s got some lovely ones for jewelry that can be used for my virtual creations. I’ll need to write a notecard to include with anything I end up making to sell on Second Life to give her credit – this post is really more of a memo to myself on that score. Obsidian Dawn Resources – Photoshop & GIMP Brushes, Illustrator Vectors, and more! These graphic design resources are free, but there are some limitations to how they can be…

    Paradise Escaped

Lelani who? Yes, yes, I’m back. Finally returned from my island home, with armfuls of flowers for lei-making and home decor,  and some pictures of wildlife,  and rather a lot of delicious smelling hair and skin products which unfortunately don’t translate well to the virtual world that is Second Life (although I may try to create a store for them here). Oh, and I got some fun hair ornaments, which I believe will translate very nicely, and have lots of ideas for jewelry, island-style. I wasn’t able to work much while in the islands, owing to a poor Internet connection…

Buggy? Maybe this was the problem

I heard from several (not all) purchasers of some of my party necklaces that the permissions were not as I had advertised, and that they either wanted a modifiable version or a refund. I’m currently not near my “home” computer, using an older laptop that wheezes a bit when running Second Life, so as soon as I got back to the laptop, I messed with my products to ensure that they were definitely set with the right permissions so people could either modify them, or give them to friends. One Resident never got the corrected version, either – now that…
