I tried and failed numerous times to create and bake a simple sculptmap of a blob. It was just a practice blob, and I got it to work ONCE, which was encouraging. But every other time, the steps seemed to be different. Things weren't on the menu that had been there before. My inner volcano erupted, and much screaming, bad language, and tears of frustration ensued (luckily no one else was home except the cat, who wisely chose to remain upstairs).

Today, historians and fishermen say it was actually steelhead Kipling and his two companions nabbed that day in June 1889, but it's a minor discrepancy in an otherwise fondly written account of the trip that has resonated with anglers and local residents for more than a century.

Willow Leafstorm’s new music venue in Steelhead Nevermoor opened with a set of truly cathartic 80’s dance music – almost everything was a remix or a cover. And unlike some “all cover” sets, each song was… great in its own right. I heard old favorites sound new – and had completely different reactions to some of the lyrics, because I was hearing them in light of some of my most recent experiences out there in untidy, noisy, fragile RL. Congratulations to the Consulate of Europa Wulfenbach for putting together an extremely fun hunt, and for making “The Big Time” on the Second Life Destinations page. An entire sim, Inverbrackie, is devoted to wild, wacky, and wonderful builds, and members of the Consulate group and their friends have contributed everything needed to put together a Jägermonster avatar (read Girl Genius! I’m really, really starting to enjoy the views on my little chunk of virtual paradise in Second Life: Steelhead St Helens. The reboot/rebuild that TotalLunar Eclipse did is really starting to come together, and new neighbors with pretty new houses and cabins have appeared, along with a horse ranch and some gypsy wagons.
