Thanks to a timely word from a customer, I have discovered a rather annoying perms problem that must be fixed in my canes. I was hoping to set them to be mostly modifiable, and leave the script control and so forth no-mod (mostly so that customers don’t break the way the cane interacts with animations). However, it’s clear that it must be done in a way that allows for customers to modify the items (I don’t care for no-mod products myself), while hoping that the risk of breakage is slight. Fingers crossed, chaps and chapettes! I shall fix the products…

While testing the new stick I pottered around Steelhead on walkabout - I shall try to do on Sundays, it was a pleasant stroll and it got me out of my workshop.

Announcing: "The Dragonlord!" This simple but elegant cane will soon be released.

New walking stick or cane listed at the Marketplace: This simple, dignified cane will take you easily from the sketchy dark corners of New Babbage to society soirees in Steelhead, Caledon, or Winterfell. It will prop you up when tired, and give you something to do with your hands. Sit with care – some sits are cane-friendly, others are not. Highly recommended: works well with the excellent "Gentleman Jim Full" or "Gentle Jim Light" Victorian AOs, available from Kamilah Hauptmann’s Posture is Everything on the Marketplace. The cane is fully optimized to take advantage of Her Lyonesse’s amusing typing and…

Sharp-eyed consumers had noted the rather good deal offered with the simple cane-friendly AO that I had offered for free on the Marketplace; rather than build a “demo” cane, I threw in an older unscripted cane that had always sold rather well (at a lower price than the scripted ones that worked well with Posture is Everything’s Gentleman Jim AO, which I recommend highly). This deal, being free and at no cost, zero virtual ducats, was selling rather briskly. Or “Raw-THER” as Papa was wont to say. Sad to say, but all good things must come to an end. An…

Righto, then. The bally free sticks are selling like bally free hotcakes. In the interests of keeping up with an inbox that has gone mad, the AO and the demonstrator or “freebie” jade stick will increase in price to $L1 (ie ONE LINDENBUCK) on August the Oneth. So please, everyone; fetch the stick! Go get it! Thus, the stick and the AO will become a “dollarbie,” which won’t keep the wolf from the door but might keep a small scripted cat in kibble. They are both available from my Tweddle shop. I look forward to finally getting in a good…

UPDATE: Apologies to the person who tried to buy an item from a non-working vendor. New vendor goes live tonight. /me whacks head with stick Dhughan here, finally getting “on the stick” as it were. Rather embarassed to admit how little headway I’ve made with my products since this pompous and self-important post. However, the new shop in Tweddle is open. my parkland in Steelhead St Helens is soon to sport a wee cabin, and I’ve finally begun making new items and improving older ones. There is now a free AO (men’s and women’s) in a box at the Tweddle…

Unlike many Second Life merchants, neither Miss Lelani nor I have found problems with our Marketplace stores, listings, or images. However, both store pages need updates due to outdated SLurls and such, but the process of updating needs time, patience, and quiet. Mine is here, Lelani’s is there, unless it’s a web-cache-thingy problem, we’re not seeing anything wrong (there have been some pretty dire failures suffered by other merchants). Amused to see that her unscripted pet beds are apparently marked Mature Content by the Marketeplace, visible only once logged in, because apparently BED is synonymous with conjugal relations. How droll.…
