    I’ve been playing around with the free-to-use InstaMAT program, which has a feature for converting a single flat image texture to an array of Blinn-Phong materials, and also PBR materials. Just getting signed up for the Pioneer license was a major headache (screaming was involved). Then I discovered that the quick “Materialize Image” workflow adds unwanted alpha channels, and bulk uploads don’t strip out the alphas the way single uploads does.     This is one reason I fell out of Second Life. Technological advances that got beyond my ability to adapt. Lost interest after making some progress in classes, as the new techniques got more complex. Also, I was waiting for Firestorm to update, as I dislike the main viewer. I could no longer get excited and make things. But hey! There’s other reasons to log in, like socializing, shopping, etc. side note: I deleted the mirror site at WordPress.com as there was no reason to keep it, and it was having a tech issue.
